What classes should I take in high school, If I want to become a Licensed Cosmetologist/Beautician?

Im going to start my junior year in high school this coming fall, and I was wanting to know if there was any classes I should take to help me. I want to go to college to be a liscensed cosmetologist/beautician.

yeah me too? anyway all the girls i know who are beauticians bunked off school and then did a night course in hair and beauty or whatever. but if you’re more dedicated to this than to being a photographer, i’d say do chemistry and biology (a basic knowledge of the science of your products is useful) and maybe an art. mostly just be prepared to trial and error in front of the mirror copying the looks out of vogue on yourself etc.

    Some high school’s offer cosmotology classes, I know mine did. You could sign up for that one if they have it…also, if there is a guidance counselor at your school, you may wish to book an appointment with them and discuss the courses available for that field.

  4. Check with your guidance counselor and see if your highschool offers any vocational programs. That’s what I did, I went everyday for 1/2 day, then back to school for regular classes. I had to put in some hours for a few weeks of one summer, but I had my 1,000 hours, and my lisence before I even graduated. Free, Well worth it, and a lot of hands on training.
