What is the best/safest numbing spray to put on before waxing?

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

I have sensitive skin and currently wax my underarms. I am thinking about waxing my legs/bikini. Does anyone know what the best/safest numbing spray is? OR do"pain-free" waxing salons exist?

i wouldn’t think so, since it might prevent the wax grabbing your hair–make it slippery. but i have heard of claims in products to do that. why not check out the back of a waxing product that does and see what it says its ingredients are?

wax when you’re most relaxed and maybe take an ibuprofin or something before hand. ice might work too.

How do I transition from shaving my legs to waxing them?

Monday, March 8th, 2010

I want to stop shaaving my legs and only wax them. I tried to wax once so far, but it left a lot of hair on my legs that I couldn’t seem to wax off. I used the Veet wax kit, and also Nair roll on wax. I feel like I am not doing it right, is there a special technique for leg waxing?

You have to wait for the hair to grow out a little so it can be picked up by waxing. If it’s too short then it will be a little tough for all of it to come out.

Nad’s is the best to wax with…

Try waxing right after you take a bath, it’s less painful and the hair comes out much easier after your body is soaked with water for a few minutes…. Just make sure that your legs are completely dry otherwise the wax will stick on them rather than pulling the hair out!

How Long After Waxing Can I Use Other Hair Removal Methods?

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

After many years of using Veet/Immac on my bikini line, I decided to bite the bullet and wax. Unfortunately, not all the hair has come off with the wax (still quite a bit left!) How long after waxing do I need to leave it to use regular Veet cream or, at a push, shave? I am seeing my boyfriend tomorrow evening and I need "down-there" to look good! Thanks!

You obviously have to have the hair grow back a bit. It sounds like you did the waxing totally wrong, or used really cheap wax. Or both…

Any studies on how waxing your aircraft reduce costs?

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

It is logical that waxing your aircraft reduces drag, but are there any studies that shows how much money it saves you?

Thanks

Whatever small drag improvement you will gain will probably be off set by the added weight of the wax. It’s not worth the effort. The reason AA doesn’t paint their planes is because of the weight savings. Aircraft paint can add 200 to 400 pounds per airplane which is significant in determining usable payload.
