I love makeup! These are my top ten inexpensive beauty products!

1: Maybelline Colossal Mascara
2: Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara
3: Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Makeup Liquid Liner Pen
4: L'Oreal Paris HiP Shocking Shadow Pigments
5: CoverGirl TruShine Lipstick
6: Maybelline Volume XL Seduction Lip Plumper
7: CoverGirl Clean Pressed Powder
8: Revlon ColorStay Foundation
9: C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Shine
10: Revlon Beyond Natural Blush and Bronzer

I don't suggest that you wear all of this at once but as you get more experienced with makeup, you can experiment.
I also suggest these makeup tools.

Brushes: Japonesque (Expensive but worth it, they are super soft!)
Eyelash Curler: Shu Uemura Curler (Expensive but again worth it)
Eye Makeup Remover: Maybelline Expert Eyes (OIL FREE!)
References :
Urban Decay eye primer is a must have. It makes your eyeshadow last sooo long. I absolutely love it.
Foundation-Mac or Revlon color stay
Eyeshadow-Mac or Stila...they have a lot of pigment
Lip gloss-any type works
Mascara-Mac or a drugstore brand
Eyeliner I use a special type that I get from the Sally Beauty stores since I have allergic reactions to any other brand
Eyelash curler and fake lashes if you want a prettier look
That's about it...Good luck!
References :
Here are a couple:

Mascara--hands down--Maybelline. You can't go wrong with their mascara and its inexpensive. Don't waste your money with anything else.

Powder- Natural Beauty by Carmindy (Sally Hansen) She also has a nice foundation

Blush - "Orgasm" by Nars. Looks good on any skin tone.

For more suggestions, you might want to check out:

Well if you are just getting into makeup, it would be wise to invest, as if you build up a capsule collection you'll be able to make what you have work for you any time. If you are just starting out, you may want to keep it to a smaller collection at first so that you can learn about how to most effectively use the products. These are not my 10 favourites, but from my experience with makeup these are 10 of the best for a beginner.

1. Clinique Colour Surge Eyeshadow-Confetti. It's a pale pink, so great for a wash over the lid, and it has a softer shimmer, so it won't be overly frosty. You can also blend it out or add some darker colours in order to get a more complex look. They are $14 each and you can find them at Sephora and at major department stores. Right now, Nordstrom has a GWP deal where if you buy $25 worth of stuff-so two shadows, or one of the quads-you get a cosmetic bag with 7 items.

2. Too Faced Girls Dig Pearls Gloss-Mermaid. These glosses are really nice because they are conditioning on the lips and they have crushed sea pearls in order to give a lovely iridescent shine. Mermaid is a great, universally-wearable shade, however they all could be worn by anybody. They are $18 each and available at Sephora, ULTA, and some department stores.

3. Avon Uplifting mascara-Brown. Avon products are one case in which I will tend to go cheaper, because they work. This mascara has little plastic spikes instead of a fibrous spooly wand, so it's great for getting every lash defined. It retails for about $8, but there are usually deals where you can get a couple mascaras for under $10-and in which case, I also recommend the Daring Definition mascara. It takes a little more time and practice however the results are absolutely amazing.

4. Sephora Brand Nano Eyeliner-Midnight Black and Azur Blue. I have always been a huge Sephora brand fan because the quality is there and the prices are low, and these are a steal at $5 each. I believe everyone should own a black eyeliner of some sort, because you can do a fine line on the top or bottom, you can line the waterline-there are a lot of possibilities. I also put in the bright blue because if you're just doing a look of neutral eyeshadows, a fine blue line can really add a lot of visual appeal. This is a new formula, and it has shea butter which will be really good for the eyes.

5. MAC A Rose is a Rose Quad. This quad is a limited-edition currently available at Nordstrom and online at nordstrom.com, and I honestly think that this is the perfect eye quad for somebody who is just getting into makeup. There is a highlight shade, a dark shade for lining/dramatic effects, and then two very girly, very wearable shades-a pinky coral and a lilac. It is very easy to use, and at $36, it has the equivalent of four full-sized eyeshadows. It may not be exciting for most makeup fanatics, but I recommend you take a look at this.

6. CO Bigelow Vitamin Mentha Lip Balm-Baby Pink Mint. When I worked at Bath and Body Works, these were one of my favourite things because they are a minty balm that really does its job as a balm, while giving my lips a bit of colour and shimmer. Baby Pink is a very universal shade, however I like Vintage Rouge as well since I am very much into colours. They retail for $7.50 apiece however there are many instances in which you can catch them for $5 each or even less.

7. MAC Paint-Baselight. The reason why I like the paints is because you can use it as a shadow itself (it's like a dry cream-I don't know how to explain the texture), but the main reason many people use these is to use them as an eyeshadow base in order to make your eyeshadows last longer. They retail for $16.50 apiece however one tube will last you for years.

8. Sephora Brand Harmony Trio-Apricot. This is a product designed to give the face a nice, subtle glow. It's not going to give colour like a blush or bronze like a bronzer, but if you are just getting started with makeup you want to ease into the cheek products, and I find something like this would be very effective for doing so, as you will be able to get a lot more of a glow. This retails for $16, and there are two other colours-Bronze and Rose.

The reason why I only did 8 is because my products tend to run higher, however I was trying to reconcile quality with cost. Also some of them are multi-use, and with the Clinique gift, that's more stuff right there.
References :
My beauty blog: http://codekiki.wordpress.com

My top products are
1) Smashbox Primer Light
2) Smashbox Jet Set Eye Liner in Midnight Black
3) Smashbox Halo in Medium
4) Smashbox Ultimate Palette eye shadows (70!!)
5) Hard Candy Sweet Cheeks Liquid Blush
6) Smashbox Photo Finish Lipstick in Enchanting
7) Clinique Different Lipstick in Bronze Leaf
8) Too Faced Smurfette Lip gloss or Smashbox O-Glow
9) Loreal Bare Natural in Sand Beige
10) Sonia Kushak Brow Kit

For people just starting out I would recommend
Foundation - Loreal Bare Naturale is a good drugstore brand. The finishing powder is alright too.
Mascara - Loreal makes some good ones and Maybelline's are OK.
Brows - The Sonia Kashuk one at Target is a good inexpensive one but there's others that probably cost less at drugstores.
Eye shadows - There's a lot of inexpensive choices so have fun and experiment!
Lipstick or Lipgloss - Ditto for lipstick and lipgloss. For inexpensive brands, I like Maybelline, especially the Wet Shine, or the Loreal juicy tubes. I like some colors from Revlon but it has a certain taste.

However, once you try some good brands it's hard to go back to drugstore, but there are a few good finds there. If you're looking to experiment with makeup at low prices, try Walgreens. They are always having sales on make up.
References :
For a young gal just starting I would for the very first thing advise that you look into the Covergirl line, Allmay, or even Bare Essentials for two reasons...1. they're clean and hypoallergenic and won't clog your pores or cause acne. and 2. because they won't break your wallet. As far as the necessities for a starter teen may I suggest:

moisturizer from Oil of Olay
mascara in a natural shade (actually try the color match line from Allmay that has a collection of shadows, liners, and mascaras that are meant to go together and are made for each hue of eye color) again, it won't break the bank at maybe a total of about $20 for all three items together.)
concealer from Covergirl made so that it doesn't cause skin problems
foundation from Covergirl made so that it doesn't cause skin problems
a light shade of blush from Covergirl " "
the correct shade of face powder from Covergirl
and a light or natural shade of lipgloss.
You'll find that even if you put on makeup you can still look natural and if you use these brands or try to find something like it, your allowance will go a lot further.
when you have questions about how to apply or what each item is for go to covergirl.com to get them answered professionally. I also suggest, just to make your money go further, try shopping at RiteAid, Walmart, Kmart, or Walgreens (Walgreens is the best for good prices)

Good Luck! :)
References :
I was once a teen with bad skin who wanted to look older lol....doesn't every little girl? lol

I have some really good ideas! I have been wearing makeup for just about a year now (I am 12, almost 13) and I am very experienced in natural, fresh makeup for preteens/early teens! These choices help you achieve that really natural look. Not too heavy! Plus, you can find all of these choices at any drugstore for great prices!

1. CoverGirl Clean Makeup (Fragrance Free)
2. L'Oreal Paris Bare Naturale Soft-Focus Mineral Focus
3. Maybelline New York Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Concealer
4. Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Blush
5. CoverGirl Cheekers Bronzer
6. L'Oreal Paris Bare Naturale Mascara
7. Maybelline New York Expert Wear Eye Shadow Duos in Browntones
8. Neutrogena Nourishing Eyeliner in Brushed Pewter
9. Covergirl OutLast LipStain in Flirty Nude
10. L'Oreal Paris Color Juice Sheer Juicy Lip Gloss in Watermelon Crush
11. Maybelline New York Salon Expert Nail Color in Pinkaholic

Hope this helped!
