I get my eyebrows threaded from a woman who does it at her home as a business. She charges $6 for eyebrows, $4 for upper-lip. So I get both done for half your price.
Ask around for someone like that; we have a few woman who do it as an at-home business at reasonable prices.

It’s impossible to say which one would be better to observe. They will look identical, except that a waxing crescent moon will open to the left like ")" and a waning crescent moon will look like "(". The dates of moon phases are not exactly aligned with the months of the year, so there is no date that always has a crescent moon, but if you look up when the nearest new moon is and then go outside a few days either before or after that, you should be set. Also, due to the nature of moon phases, it’ll be out during the day.
