Can you work at a salon as an apprentice stylist without attending school?

I’ve heard people don’t go to school and just apprentice at a salon to get their hours done. I live in CA, and I was just wondering if you still have to take any classes too, before you become an apprentice.

No you can’t. You have to pass a state test before you can cut peoples hair for money.
