I want to open a salon in my home,what should I do to start?

I booth rent now. The owner wants to close the shop soon,and I want to have a salon in my home.

I do not know the the laws where you live, but most places. You have to be Zoned for Business.a lisenced and the health Dept . has to check your Shampoo Sink plumbing. bath rooms. and State Board is involved…A lot of work . but worth it after all is Okayed…

  1. get a permit to run a in home business. when getting the permit they should be able to provide you with additional info on what to do.

    What I would do do first is make sure I have everything I need, chairs, hair care supplies, sinks, bibs, etc. (of course). Maybe a week before you open, pass out flyers that include your telephone number, your address, and any other information customers will need, wherever you can so you don’t have a dull day on your opening. Make sure you can take calls for appointments the week before you open, and don’t overbook yourself on your first day. Take some customers on the second or third days, don’t feel like you need to have everyone on the first day. You may also want to hire another stylist, because you don’t want your customers waiting all day. I think this about sums it up.
