What should a commission based salon provide for the stylists?

I am a stylist at a commission based salon. I receive 50% commission. We do not have a receptionist and I am being charged a service charge for color. So I suppose that the only thing my commission is going to is back bar supplies.

Well…….I have a commission salon and I provide everything…….from the phone, receptionist, to advertising, to products and supplies, to cleaning service for salon and towels………..you need to check around and compare what others in your area are doing………BUT…do it discreetly, no need to upset the apple cart so to speak…………no reason for hurt feelings……….good luck…….

The salon should provide everything. If they are booth rental, The stylists provide their own supplies.
