Is it customary to give tips in hair salons here in Singapore? How much?
I’m going to have my hair cut in Singapore the first time in a high end salon. I read before that tipping in Singapore is not the norm, but I’m not sure if that’s also true for hair salons (especially Passion). Should I give tip to the "leading stylist"? How about the person who shampooed/dry my hair? If yes, how much should I give? Is it based on percentage?
Thanks.
i’m not sure about singapore, but in hong kong, the norm is to tip yout stylist 10-15%, your shampoo person $2, and the leading stylist or the owner doesn’t get a tip (unless they do your hair). i hope this helps!!!
