people, don’t even … people, don’t even bother to run the risk, just don’t go to a nail salon!! just do it at home, i know it’s not as relazing doing your own nails, but at least you’ll know it’s safe! anyways, now days they don’t really give u a foot massage, they just want u in and out quickly and get your hard earned money..btw..don’t ever trust a vietnamese person!!
be aware…does … be aware…does salon look clean…is the tech pulling out FRESH implements in front of you and discarding….if an implement or something drops on the floor do they wipe it and use ot or get a new one? do you see them disifecting the pedi chair after the person next to you is done? check local state board websites for recorded violations and sitations listed on local are salons
It is easy to … It is easy to sanitize the salon especially the spa chair. Between customers, nail tech should fill up the foot bath, let the jets run for at least 5 minutes with EPA solution. Nail tech pays licensing fee yearly. We need to have competent people in the government to check, enforce high sanitation standard and educate nail techs as to proper sanitation.
Pretty nasty. … Pretty nasty. Happens every where. I am a licensed nailtech and won’t go to spas or other salons touch my hands or feet. Some of the girls I work with wouldn’t even let the dirty water out of the spa jets. You usaully end up getting some one elses dirty foot soup running through the water when you’re getting a pedi.Always ask to see that they have barbicide… watch them clean the spa bowl, clear the jets, clean tools…not with alcohol, it kills nothing.
I know my sister’s … I know my sister’s friend’s older sister got a pedicure at a salon close to wear I live & where i used to get done at had a toe nail fugus after a spa pedicure & the sam thing happened to my co-worker’s friend! I don’t do this anymore, I’ll also do my homemade pdeicure/manicure & at the beauty schools, students always clean their manicure tools with machine sanitizers & ETA strays!!!

I’ve had trouble with infections from the few times I’ve had my finger nails done. I now do it all at home!
