How can you get rid of the redness from waxing?

I waxed my eyebrows with a home-waxing kit, now my face is red! What do I do?

Redness after waxing is normal and common. When you wax, you pull the hair out of the root and this causes inflammation.

The redness usually goes away in several hours, but sometimes you need to wait overnight for the redness to go away.

Try not to touch the inflamed places on your face because sometimes it can make it worse. If the redness is bothering you, you could get a cold damp cloth and press it over your face, or you could get an ice pack/ice and put it on the inflamed places.

  1. well if you just waxed them you might need to give it a few hours.

The area is inflamed, it will get better.

to help with any pain, you should get a little bottle of mist aloe vera (normally comes with most waxing kits).

Just mist it on, and wait for the redness to go.

  5. Waxing eyebrows? It not sounds too good. Next time, try to pick one by one. Now, if your redness persists, try an antibiotical, and after a few hours, after the usual cleansing, try a calming lotion. Search for one with aloe vera. :)
