What are the active ingredient of the wax used in waxing?

Waxing is a popular way of removing hair, but what is so special about it? What ingredient/s makes it also a good method?

It is just wax, the wax is spread on warm allowed to harden and grasp the hairs, when it’s pulled off it removes the hair from the follicle, this process can inhibit hair growth anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks depending on your hair growth.
It can be painful the first time or two but generally it gets better and well worth it imo.
